On behalf of the Local Organising Committee and the International Organizing committee, I am pleased to announce that the Fourteenth International Symposium on Human Chlamydial Infections will be held at Woudschoten in Zeist, The Netherlands, July 1st – 6th , 2018.
This Symposium will cover all the roles chlamydiae play in human and (zoonotic) animal infections. The Symposium will cover translational research in the field of clinical practice and research in chlamydial biology, laboratory detection, public health epidemiology, and sexual behaviour, and more basic research in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology, bacterial and host genetics, and genomics and immunology.
The programme will feature invited internationally esteemed reviewers and will ensure a state-of-art, and cutting-edge Symposium. As in all previous ISHCI meetings participation in the Symposium is dependent on the acceptance of a submitted 4 page abstract (mini-article).
Woudschoten is located in the green heart of the Netherlands in the woods. In 1932, the Dutch Christian Student Association (NCSV) started using the stylish main building of the Woudschoten estate as a conference centre. The NCSV was an organisation that provided students looking for more depth to their studies with conferences and summer camps on relevant topics. Currently, it is an internationally recognized and state of the art Congress Center.
